Help: a Heart, is our campaign to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your own and your family’s heart health, as heart disease kills more people in the UK than any other condition.
We launched the campaign on 17th January 2011, the most depressing day of the year, with Help: a Heart, Nominate your Hero – the aim to encouraging people to celebrate their unsung heroes and to help create a more social, considerate society for the New Year.
Find out about our campaigns below.
|help a heart, Nominate Your Hero:
For four weeks we asked everyone to nominate their own everyday heroes in their lives – the people that regularly perform acts of kindness that perhaps get taken for granted – and to give their reasons why that person is special. The response was amazing and we struggled to only choose one winner a week to receive our special breakfast-in-bed Healthy Heart Warming Hamper.

|help a heart, Mum of the Year:
After the success of our help: a heart, nominate your hero campaign we realised that for a lot of people their Mum was their hero hence the launch of the second part of our campaign to find our Mum of the Year 2011, with one lucky winner having their mum awarded the title in time for Mother’s Day on April 3, 2011. The winning Mum of the Year also received a beautiful Swarovski heart pendant necklace and 5 runner’s up each got a ‘You’re My Hero’ teapot set.
